Sign Fabrication Step-by-Step

1. Design

Your brand’s journey begins with a deep dive into your vision.

Our design team, equipped with cutting-edge software and a keen eye for aesthetics, works closely with you to create a sign that not only aligns with but elevates your brand identity.

We provide detailed mock-ups, ensuring that every element, from color to typography, resonates with your brand’s ethos.

You’ll be side-by-side with our design specialists for this.

Your project will only move on when you give the okay to the cad-rendering.

2. Permitting

Once your vision is realized, it’s time to get your sign permit.

Scaled drawings are submitted to your municipality for their review and approval.

This isn’t something you have to worry about or track.

It’s up to you how much we do or do not update you about this process.

3. Material Selection

The longevity and impact of your sign hinge on the quality of materials used.

We source premium-grade acrylic, aluminum, and polycarbonate, known for their durability and visual appeal. Each material is carefully picked to suit the specific needs of your channel letter or box sign.

Our material selection process takes into consideration factors like environmental resilience, color retention, and energy efficiency, ensuring that your sign stands the test of time and elements.

4. Cutting & Shaping

Precision is key in our fabrication process.

Signs come down to the details, and we don’t settle for bent edges or crooked lines.

Utilizing advanced CNC routers and laser cutters, we carve out designs with impeccable accuracy.

For channel letters, each letter is individually crafted to match your brand’s typography.

Box signs undergo a similar meticulous process, ensuring every edge and angle aligns perfectly.

Now, it’s time for your brand colors.

5. Graphic Application

In this stage, your brand’s message comes to life in your exact colors using PMS color matching.

Whether it’s through high-resolution digital printing, precise vinyl application, or hand-painted artistry, we ensure that every graphic detail is a vivid representation of your brand.

Our techniques are chosen to provide the best color saturation, image clarity, and longevity.

Our painting process involves not just color application but a commitment to aesthetics and durability.

We use high-quality paints and finishes that resist fading and weathering.

6. Illumination

Now to light it up.

Equipped with the latest in LED technology, we install lighting systems that ensure your sign is not only visible but also energy-efficient.

The lighting is expertly installed to achieve uniform illumination, enhancing the readability and impact of your sign, day or night.

7. Mounting & Installation

Our installation team brings expertise and precision to the site.

With our 22-piece fleet, which includes three cranes, eight bucket trucks, seven pick-up trucks, two flat deck trailers, one dump trailer, and one skid steer, we manage everything from the structural assessment to the final mounting.

We ensure that your sign is installed securely and positioned for optimal visibility.

Post-Installation Services

Our relationship with you doesn’t end at installation.

We, along with our YESCO repair arm, offer comprehensive post-installation services, including maintenance, repairs, and updates to ensure that your sign continues to be a striking representation of your brand for years to come.

FAQs

What is the turnaround time for sign fabrication?

The turnaround time varies depending on the complexity and size of the sign, as well as the current workload.

Generally, it can range from a few weeks to a couple of months, but your assigned project manager will see that it’s complete in your timeline.

The time frame includes everything from initial consultations and design approvals to the actual manufacturing and installation of the sign.

How customizable are the signs, and what are the limitations?

Signage, especially channel letter and box signs, offers a high degree of customization.

Clients can choose from a variety of sizes, fonts, colors, materials, and lighting options.

The primary limitations are often dictated by budget constraints, physical installation space, and local zoning or code restrictions.

Our design team works closely with clients to balance their vision with these practical considerations.

What is the expected durability and maintenance requirement of the sign?

The durability of a sign depends on the materials used and the environmental conditions it’s exposed to.

On average, well-made signs can last between 5 to 10 years. Maintenance requirements are generally low, primarily involving routine cleaning and occasional inspections to ensure electrical components and structural integrity.

LED-lit signs typically require less maintenance compared to those with traditional lighting.

What are the costs involved in the sign fabrication process?

Costs vary significantly based on the type of sign, size, materials used, complexity of the design, and lighting options.

For a detailed quote, we consider all these factors, including design, manufacturing, and installation.

We provide an itemized breakdown to ensure transparency and help our clients make informed decisions.

What is the process for permits and compliance with local regulations?

Our team handles the entire permitting process.

We research local zoning laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

The process involves submitting design proposals to relevant authorities and obtaining necessary approvals before fabrication begins.

We also ensure that all electrical and structural components of the sign adhere to safety standards.

This comprehensive approach helps avoid legal complications and ensures a smooth installation process.
